Canine Companions for Independence enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships. These dogs help open new opportunities for their human partners to greater independence and confidence. Their Veterans Initiative provides extra training in PTSD commands for dogs paired with veterans needing this special assistance.
